It's been a long time since our last competitive weekend event, but on Saturday 4th December we threw open the doors for our Modern Store Championships; a classic Manaleak win-a-box, boosted by some beautiful promo cards courtesy of Wizards of the Coast.

With reduced capacity, and stores around the country hosting their own events this weekend, it was great to have 27 players join us for the day, including both new and familiar faces. Arbor Elf promo cards are being provided by Wizards for all attending players, with top 8 earning a Collected Company promo and a share of the 4x booster box prize pool or equivalent store credit. There was a strong field with many experienced players wielding a range of finely tuned decks. David Inglis went through five rounds with his blue white control deck, followed by a top 8 playoff, beating Kieran Morrow's Affinity deck for the win. He won a promo Wurmcoil Engine and credit for goodies, including a Jace, The Mind Sculptor and Flooded Strand (pictured).
