We also offer a huge selection of board games and role playing games in Birmingham. We can host events for any games that you would like to play, all you have to do is let a member of staff know in store or email us.

Our weekly events schedule:

Monday – Miniatures Night from 6pm

Mondays and Thursdays at Manaleak, Birmingham, are home to all things tabletop! This includes: Board games, Wargames, Skirmish games, RPG’s, Specialist games, figure painting and a whole heap more!

Monday sees fast pace, brutal action on the fantasy American football pitch in the form of Blood Bowl, alongside macabre steampunk skirmish fun with Malifaux. We also play host to some fantastic RPG groups running exciting campaigns, the likes of D&D, Through the Breach and I Love the Corps.

Monday night gaming starts at 6pm and finishes at 11pm. We are open from 10am and players are always welcomed to come and play any time after 10am. Tables are free, simply book a table by posting up your request in our Manaleak.com Birmingham (UK) Tabletop and RPG Facebook Community Group.

Miniatures & Board Games Night: Every Mondays & Thursdays from 6pm

Games played: Blood Bowl, Malifaux, Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures, Warmachine and Hordes

Tuesday – Commander & Final Fantasy TCG Night (10% Student discount on MTG singles on Tuesday nights!) from 6pm

Tuesday nights belong to Commander! Commander is Magic’s premier multiplayer format with a huge following all over the world. In Commander, you build a 99 card deck containing no more than 1 copy of any individual card (excluding basic lands of course). You begin the game with access to a “Commander” which is a Legendary Creature that leads your deck as its 100th card. Your deck must contain only cards that are in the same colour(s) as your Commander (for example, you can not use red or green cards if your commander is a white/blue/black creature).

Commander is one of the most fun and enjoyable formats in Magic: the Gathering. With access to 100 cards in each deck, the possibility for crazy shenanigans is much higher and no two games play out the same way. If you’ve never played before and want to give it a go, just come along! Chances our that one of our regular players will have a deck you can borrow and see what the format has in store for you!

Games played: Final Fantasy TCG, Magic: the Gathering (Commander), Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar

Wednesday – Non-profit Draft Night from 7pm

Wednesday nights we play host to the Brum Magic draft group. In a booster draft, each player begins with 3 fresh booster packs. You begin by opening a pack and choosing to keep 1 card from it. Then, you pass the rest of the pack to the next player and take another card from the pack being passed to you. You repeat this process until you have drafted all 3 of your booster packs and theoretically built a deck along the way. We then play 3 rounds against each other and you win more booster packs if you win matches.

Booster Draft is a great way of enjoying Magic: the Gathering on a budget. You don’t need any cards to get you started and every draft begins with a blank canvas. Learning to draft well can be tricky, but our draft nights support the existence of 2 pods of players: casual and competitive. If you’re new to draft and don’t want to be too overwhelmed, you can try out the casual pod. However, if you fancy yourself a challenge, you can try drafting against our veterans in the competitive pod. Entry fee either way is just £11 and we always draft with the latest Magic sets. Just come along and have some fun trying your hand at this awesome format!

Games played: Magic: the Gathering (Booster Draft, Cube Draft)

Thursday – Board Game & Tabletop Night from 6pm

Thursdays are our main tabletop day! On Thursday, we welcome our wonderful community of board gamers! We host a vast range of games, which differ from week to week, seeing everything from X – Wing to Caverna or even tiddlywinks! Thursdays are also host to Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40K campaigns, friendly play and the painting & building of models.

Like war games? This is the place for you! It’s always free to play at Manaleak.com and we have an excellent range of scenery and tables for you to use! Our diverse and friendly community means there’s always something to be played. If you would like to have a game in-store just let us know and we shall book a table for you. No charge!

Friday – FNM (Standard, Modern, Commander!) from 7pm, but come as early as possible!

Friday night is of course, Friday Night Magic (or FNM for short). FNMs are the very basic entry-level tournaments for Magic, suitable for players of literally every skill level. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’re just starting out, FNM has something for everyone. We play 3 formats every night: Standard, Modern and Commander. Just pick the one that suits you the best and jump right in!

Each of our Standard and Modern FNMs are just £6 to enter and you’ll win a booster pack or £3 store credit for every round that you win (with 4 rounds happening each night). Also, the best part about FNM, is that you can also win cool foil promo cards! We will naturally award these promos to anyone who can win all 4 of their matches, but we also try to reward cool plays and interesting decks throughout the night. The promo for FNM changes every month, so keep coming back and you can get even more to add to your collection.

FNM starts at 7pm and ends around 10:30pm-11pm. Commander players can come at any time. Players are encouraged to arrive at the store as early as possible to get cards, collect orders, trade, have some casual games and also avoid the last minute rush. We are open from 10am every day and players start arriving from 3pm week days.
