Hour of Devastation is nearly upon us! The weekend at GP Las Vegas has shown us a lot of interesting cards for the set and a lot of very cool new Masterpieces! With spoiler season starting now, if you see a card spoiled and you absolutely must make sure you get a hold of it, then within moments of the card being spoiled, you will be able to head straight over to our website and preorder a copy or 4 for yourself!

Hour of Devastation Prerelease Weekender at Manaleak Birmingham!
In addition, with Hour of Devastation just a few short weeks away, naturally we have a prerelease weekend coming up also! If you’re not familiar with our prereleases, we run 6 events across the weekend (8th-9th of July) at different times and in 2 different formats. The times are:
Event #1 – Saturday 00:01am (Midnight Launch)
Event #2 – Saturday 10:00am
Event #3 – Saturday 16:00pm (Two-Headed Giant)
Event #4 – Saturday 17:00pm
Event #5 – Sunday 11:00am
Event #6 – Sunday 16:30pm
You can preregister for one event for just £20 through our website or in store (you will be charged £22 entry on the day) or you can take advantage of our preregistration offers for multiple events, such as ordering any 2 events for £38 or all 5 possible events for just £85 (a saving of £15 altogether!).

Manaleak.com 2017 Summer Championship (Modern & Legacy £1K)
Summer Championship is on its way!
In less than 2 weeks now, We will be hosting our Summer Championship tournaments, following on from our hugely popular Eternal Weekend celebration back in November. With Legacy on the Saturday and Modern on the Sunday (1st-2nd of July), you can win large store credit prizes, free entries to upcoming events, boxes of Hour of Devastation and most importantly… a trophy and bragging rights!

Team Unified Modern Super Challenge Top 4 Decklists!
Team Unified Modern brings with it a number of challenges in deck choice. The fact that you can’t share cards between your three decks certainly imposes a number of restrictions on which three decks you can choose. This especially becomes a struggle when so many decks in Modern use fetch lands and shock lands to construct their mana bases and these can’t be shared. In fact all of our Top 4 teams opted for a deck slot to not use any dual lands at all (3 Tron decks and 1 Merfolk), which does a good job of alleviating the pressure on the other 2 slots. Another good option is to play decks that have very little overlap in the spells they use. Affinity is a great example, as no other deck in Modern wants any of its main spells, except for Mox Opal!
