$15,000 Worth of Magic: The Gathering Cards Stolen From Seattle (Washington, USA) Local Game Store Green Lake Games
Green Lake Games, a local gaming store in Seattle (Washington, USA) was broken into overnight, “completely ransacked and torn apart”, resulting in large theft. A list of the stand out cards that were stolen is included below, after the video. Please keep in mind that this is only a small sample of what was taken, Green Lake Games tells us that the estimated value of the Magic: The Gathering cards that were stolen totals to approximately $15,000 USD. Green Lake Games are in contact with their local police, as well as their insurance company.
Green Lake Games said that they are both “devastated as a company, and in shock as individuals”. They have worked together to provide a community space for gaming in Seattle, and are “very disappointed to see this as a result”.

Approximately 25,000 Magic cards
– All completely sorted alphabetically within set
– 1,000 Dragons of Tarkir foils
– Over $10,000 in total value
Approximately 5,000 Pokemon cards (a 5-row box)
– Most early Japanese
– Some are early English promos
– Many are in top-loaders and about half of a row are in screw-down clear plastic cases
