More than $55,000 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards were recently stolen from a home in Sioux City
If you live or play within the area then please keep an eye out and report any suspicious activities.
Dennis Burson Jr. was at work when his room-mate called after finding someone had broken into their house in Sioux City, America.
Interestingly, expensive electronics such as the television and iPad were left undisturbed. At first, nothing appeared stolen but a jar of change. But the next day, friends came over and told Burson to check his Magic: The Gathering collection.
Dennis Burson’s heart sank.
Burson owned some of the most sought-after cards in Magic: The Gathering called the “Power Nine.” A single set is valued at thousands of dollars.
Dennis Burson had two complete sets.
“I valued them all at $55,000,” Burson said, devastated “I told my insurance agent, who said I was covered, but only up to $2,500.”
Burson has asked local gaming stores to be on the lookout for his cards, though he has a suspicion he knows who the culprit is.
The Sioux City Police Department is investigating the theft.
